BREAKING: FG Reintroduces COVID-19 Lockdown, Shuts Night clubs, Lounge and Recreational Centres Indefinitely

The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced fresh COVID-19 lockdown across all the 36 states including Federal Capital Territory (FCT), shutdown Beer parlours, Lounge, Night clubs and Recreational centres in a bid to curb the spread of corona virus (Covid-19) in the country.

The Head of Technical Secretariat of the Presidential Steering Committee on COVID-19, Dr Mukhtar Mohammed, revealed the new directive in a press statement released on Monday in Abuja and also said the directive should takes effect by midnight of Tuesday, 11th May, 2021.

Muhammed further noted in the press statement that; the fresh restrictions and lockdown order imposed has now make number of gatherings in public places to be restricted to 50 people at any given time. While stating that there was no limitations to Intra-state travel, he advised that only essential International travels should be embarked upon with all existing protocols strictly adhered to.
