BREAKING: Oyo Governor, Makinde Dissolves Cabinet, Orders PS To Take Over Ministries
The Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde has dissolved the state executive council with effect from 30th June, 2021. The Chief of Staffs to the Governor (CoS), Chief Bisi Ilaka and about 17 commissioners were affected.
There are widespread of speculations about this new developments in several publications, suggesting that Governor Seyi Makinde has set to reshuffle his cabinet as promised, that he will reshuffle his cabinet after his two years in office.
However, in what appeared to be a shocking twist on Tuesday 29th of June after the State Executive Council Meeting, Governor Makinde dissoved the state executive cabinet with effect from June 30th, 2021. Meanwhile, the Secretary to the state government (SSG), Mrs Olabamiwo, Head of Service (HOS) and the Director General of Due Process Office are unaffected by the cabinet reshuffled.
The governor however, directed the dissolved cabinet members to hand over to the most senior officers in their respective ministries with effect from 30th June, 2021.
