Okanlawon Bags Yoruba Youth Leadership Award

The leadership of the Yoruba Youth Assembly (YYA) an umbrella body of all Yoruba Youths group globally, has presented Engr. David Olusegun Okanlawon, who is the CEO 04 Multipurpose Unique Concept Ltd and also the founder Olusegun Okanlawon Foundation, a merit ‘Award of Leadership’ and certificate of award in to YYA hall of fame today, 12th of May, 2021. Delegates from YYA led by the President, Mr. Olarinde Thomas Oluwole presented the award to a group of volunteers of Olusegun Okalanwon Foundation, led by Mr, Joseph Olawuyi, accompany by Com. Gbadebo Adeniran, Com. Odetunde Damilare, Com. Waheed Adediran and Miss Gbemisola Ibrahim on behalf of the philanthropist.

This is coming barely after some days he received award from the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) and Ridwanullahi – l – Akbar Islamic Foundation respectively

According to Mr Olawuyi joseph, 9JAFOCUS gathered that; few days ago, the leadership of the Yoruba Youth Assembly (YYA) informed Engr. David Olusegun Okanlawon on their intention to pay him a courtesy visit, hold an interview session with him and present a well deserved award while inducting him into Yoruba Youth’s Hall of Fame.

However, On Wednesday morning, three delegates from YYA, led by the president of the Association, Mr Olarinde together with a media correspondent from the Nigeria Tribune, met with the team, who received the award on behalf of Okanlawon in Ibadan, as the philanthropist attends to duty calls away from Ibadan.

The President of YYA elaborated the association’s core values and noted that all her 38 sister associations from all parts of the Yoruba nation, after clinical analysis and proper scrutiny ratified Okanlawon fit for the leadership award. Mr Olaf once further highlighted their acknowledgement of Okanlawon’s humanitarian sojourn, giant strides in youth empowerment, promotion of Yoruba’s culture and heritage and his passion for community development, capacity building and societal growth.

Okanlawon, in his response, expressed his delight in the honour and appreciated the entire sister associations and all members for their thoughtfulness and acknowledgement of the little he has contributed to the society. He said this, alongside other awards are clear indications that his little impact is being felt. He acknowledged this as “the public’s way of saying we want more from you.”
