Ondo State Gov Adopts O’dua Anthem As Civic Responsibility Of Residents, Orders Compulsory Recitation In Schools (watch video)
The Ondo State Government has directed all public secondary schools in the state to adopt, teach and encourage recitation of Oduduwa nation anthem in all functions in public secondary schools across the state.
9JAFOCUS gathered according to a circular letter duly signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ondo State Teaching Service Commission, Tolu Adeyemi, dated 6th May, 2021 addressed to all Tutors-General, All zonal TESCOM directors and all principals of public secondary schools in the state.
The circular further directed that Ondo state has adopted and mandated Oduduwa Anthem as part of the civic responsibility of all residents in the state.
The circular letter reads like this; ADOPTION OF ODUDUWA ANTHEM IN THE PUBLIC
SECONDARY SCHOOLS ACROSS ONDO STATE. The present Administration of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) has adopted
Oduduwa Anthem as part of the civic responsibility of all residents in the State. To this end, the singing of the Oduduwa Anthem has become mandatory at all functions in all Public Secondary Schools in the State.”
“Therefore, all School Principals and other top functionaries in the Public Secondary
Schools are enjoined to adopt, teach and encourage the singing of Oduduwa Anthem at all functions, especially at the morning assembly in all Schools. The copy of the song is hereby attached, Kindly internalize and externalize the contents of this circular letter.”
