OOF Partners NCC, To Enhance Telecommunication Networks Across Ibarapa
Olusegun Okanlawon Foundation (OOF), has partnered with the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) to enhance Mobile Telecommunication Networks across Ibarapa land.
The danger of poor mobile telecommunication networks in Ibarapa region of Oyo State has become so unbearable to the extent that none of the seven towns can boast of stable mobile networks in strategic places, be it for browsing or calling.
This made the founder of OOF to approach NCC for urgent assistance towards enhancing mobile communication networks in the region.
This request was granted, in a meeting today, between the Chairman, Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC), Professor Adeolu Akande, and the founder, Olusegun Okanlawon Foundation (OOF), Engr. David Olusegun Okanlawon. In attendance also was the Ibarapa Parrot’s media personnel.
Engr. Okanlawon while giving reasons why NCC should come to help Ibarapa region revamp her mobile communication networks said: “Imagine a situation that requires a swift intervention of the police and the network is crippled or a duress call to health centres while the line fluctuates! What about the effect of epileptic networks on economic activities of residents and visitors to the region?
“These, among others, clearly establish the needs to revamp the telecommunication system in the region”.
In his words, the chairman of NCC, Professor Adeolu Akande, agreed with Okanlawon and promised to use his good office to put an end to the epileptic mobile communication networks across Ibarapa. He immediately forwarded the request letter to the appropriate quarters and implored the concerned stakeholders to treat the letter as a matter of priority.
