BREAKING: Tension As Suspected Fulani Herdsmen Invade Ibarapa Community Killed 20 People, Palace and Petrol Station Burnt Down (watch video)
Tension grasps Igangan community in Ibarapa North Local government Area of Oyo State as some unknown gunmen, suspected to be Fulani herdsmen, invaded the the community in the late hours of Saturday around 11:45pm at night.
A resident of the community, who preferred not to be mentioned, told 9JAFOCUS that the gunmen were identified as Fulani herdsmen and that they stormed their community around 11:45 pm on Saturday night, shooting sporadically, killing people, burning houses, and ordered them to come out of their various houses, he also revealed that the sporadic shooting by the gunmen lasted for hours and left the residents scampering for safety.
According to the video made available to 9JAFOCUS, the gunmen killed about 20 people, burn down palace, petrol station and destroyed many properties worth millions of Naira. Residents of the community who managed to fled the community and ran for safety after returning to the community earlier on monday morning, confirmed that children of the local hunter who repel the attack were slaughtered by the gunmen.
The residents tried all possible best to reach police and other security outfits including Amotekun commander of Ibarapa in the area to rescue them from the attack, but proves abortive.
As at the time filling this report, all efforts to reach the Public Relation Officer (PRO) of Nigeria police, Oyo state command to confirm the incident, proves abortive.
